Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum

The impressive Laxmi Vilas Palace, in the indo Saracenic style of architecture, was once the residence o) the Gaekwad family. The Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum, located in the sprawling grounds of the palace complex, is a multi purpose museum and houses the Gaekwad family's rich collection of an treasures.
On view are contemporary Indian and European paintings dating to the 19th and 20th century. The sculpture section includes Indian as well as Graeco-Roman artefacts, Chinese and Japanese art.

| How to Reach |
Air: Vadodra airport is 8 km northeast of the railway station.
Rail: Vadodra railway station is located on the northwestern part of the city, near the local bus station. As Vadodra is on the main Ahmedabad–Mumbai line a number of trains pass and stop at Vadodra.
Road: The main bus station is north of the railway station. Gujarat state transport buses ply on various routes connecting Vadodra to various places in Gujarat, western Madhya Pradesh and northern Maharashtra.
